My experience with Emily has been nothing short of exceptional, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the positive impact she had on my son’s education. Emily possesses a rare blend of knowledge, patience, and creativity that makes learning an engaging and enjoyable experience for my son.
My son is a cancer survivor with impaired brain functions. One of the standout qualities of Emily is her ability to tailor lessons to meet the individual needs. She created a supportive and inclusive environment where my son feels valued and encouraged to excel. My child had not only grown academically under her guidance but had also developed essential skills such as critical thinking and effective communication.
Moreover, Emily went above and beyond in ensuring that I was involved and informed about my son’s progress. Her regular updates, open communication channels, and willingness to address any concerns make the educational journey a collaborative effort.
In addition to her teaching prowess, Emily is a wonderful role model for my son. Her kindness, respect, and empathy set an example for the kind of individuals I hope my son becomes. My son also became a good friend of hers.

Hardworking, Passionate, & Kind
I’ve known Emily Hurst since she babysat me when I was seven; she is the most hardworking, passionate, and kind woman I know. Emily was the person my parents trusted to help raise me as a child, and Emily is the person I would trust to take care of my kids in the future. Now, at twenty two, Emily is a friend as well as a role model. At seven, there was no one I looked up to more and that is still true today.

I Have Been in Awe of her Magic
Having worked with Emily for several years I have been in awe of her magic! She is creative, knowledgeable and passionate about the development of her students. She knows how to meet the needs of each of her students. She is constantly building on her students strengths while also developing their areas of need. There is no academic need that she is not capable of approaching and establishing a plan of action to support.
Emily instilled in my son not only academic tools to be successful in middle school and high school but also social skills to be comfortable around peers and the confidence to be himself in any setting. Middle school can be a tricky time in parents and students life, but working with Emily made the transition and time stress free. She knew what my son would would need before the time came and how to tackle any challenge in the way. Trusting my sons educational needs in Emily has been the best decision we could have made for him.
