Educational Therapy
Educational therapists offer remedial instruction to children and adults with learning challenges including but not limited to issues with organization, executive functioning, dyslexia, language, visual, and auditory processing. The ultimate goal of educational therapy is to assess the challenges of a client (often through academic assessments) and to gain an understanding of their strengths and interests so that these can be capitalized upon to support their needs. Using this information, an intervention plan will be developed and individualized strategies created. The educational therapist treats each client holistically, serving as a case manager working with family, teachers, and allied professionals involved in the client’s life.
Parent Coaching
Using research-based methodology tailored to each family, coaches work with caregivers to teach strategies and tools to promote attachment, self-esteem, and respect for all. These tools also foster the development of continued positive behaviors, strengthening the bonds between family members, and teaching the children effective ways of interacting in the world.
